To play a brass instrument you have to purse your lips which makes a buzzing noise. It causes the tube and air inside the instrument to vibrate. To make a high pitched noise, you have to purse your lips tightly and to make a low pitched noise you purse your lips loose. If you blow hard through the tube then it will produce a loud noise and if you blow it soft it will make a quiet noise. Trombone Sousaphone Trumpet Tuba French Horn
