2 The Great Wall of China is about 1,500 feet and the archeologists are still discovering more pieces of the wall each month. It is 25ft high and the towers on it are 40ft high. It is one of the biggest structures in the world. Of course the wall was built as a giant fortress. The towers have lots and lots of stairs. The Great Wall of China is a very popular tourist attraction.

3 The dragon is the symbol of enlightenment. They also symbolize power and excellence. Western Dragons are the bad ones and the Eastern Dragons are friendly and wise. Every 12 years is the year of the Dragon. There are 9 main types of Dragons: horned, winged, celestial, spiritual, hidden treasures, coiling, yellow dragons, 9 headed dragons, and weather dragons.

4 Yin is the dark side and Yang is the light side. Yin is dark, moist, receptive, earthy, and female. Yang is bright, dry, active, heavenly, and male.

5 The Chinese writing started 3,500 years ago. There are over 3,000 many different styles in the writing. Chinese writing is used by over a billion different people.

6 The Chinese invented many different things like: gunpowder, fireworks, the abacus, silk, baskets, the wheelbarrow, mulberry bark paper, boats, compass, porcelain, jade jewel, kites, the clock, an animal harness, and a lot more things.

7 A dynasty is a ruling family which control is handed down by each generation. Some dynasties can last over 800 years. Here is a list of some of the different dynasties: Hsia, Shang, Chou, Chin, Hah, Sui, Tang, and many more.
