2 Vital For Our Health PDHPE stands for, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education It is one of the six key learning area’s covered in the K – 6 Syllabus PDHPE plays an important role in promoting values regarding nutrition and physical activity on a daily basis.

3 Crucial For Socialisation  In PDHPE we learn new skills and the importance of * TEAMWORK *FAIRPLAY *DECISION MAKING *PROBLEM SOLVING *COMMUNICATION *GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT  These factors help children understand the value of co- operation when dealing with others. Having these skills are vital in creating meaningful relationships within our lives.

4  helps promote healthy eating. By making ‘smart’ choices, this can reduce the chances of heart disease etc.  promotes physical activity and encourages a healthy physical attitude about themself.

5 Our Wellbeing  PDHPE places an emphasis on the individual, highlighting certain attributes and qualities in which they are encouraged to progress towards  Giving hope is important for character growth and development to occur

6 Recognising Cultures  PDHPE is vital in primary schools as it is encouraging a generation to be conscience about the way in which they live and the decisions they choose to make.  These choices could include personal health, physical activity, socialisation and attaining a balanced wellbeing.  PDHPE shapes the minds and attitudes of the next generation
