14 Please write any comments that you feel would help to improve the Senior HSTA Summer Institute.  We stayed mainly in only two buildings throughout the whole university, other than tours we took and our dinner in the mountain lair. i would say as a senior there should of been a lot more opportunity to check out the entire campus. I wasn't even given a map of what the campus we were staying on looked like.  If we could have a little more freedom, more organization, and if we could plan a trip for all the seniors who attended the Summer Institute later in the school year, like before or after graduation to keep in touch one last time before we all really go our separate ways, that would be fun  My learning experience was good; however, I would have liked if the camp learning was not as congested and crammed. We also should have did more active involvement instead of sitting in one room for hours  The head mentor was rude and bossy

15 Please write any comments that you feel would help to improve the Senior HSTA Summer Institute.  Okay honestly if you think of it the only thing you could do to improve this camp with it's current situation is more organization and less interaction with other HSTA camps. We were seniors, never again will we be seniors, and I feel I never received the 'Senior' experience past HSTA members have told me about.  …everything we did was barely organized for example the Library on the 1st or 2nd day. I heard one of the Librarians say to other faculty members they had no idea we were coming and were scrambling to find something to fill the gap. Also it was disappointing throughout the weak the lack of Mentor to Student interaction. It would of been nice to meet and get to know our mentors but they mostly kept to themselves and weren't interactive at all. Finally, I signed up for senior camp. I took bio-med last year so I was very confused as to why we were even able to see the bio-med students along with taking the class as them.  Don't assume that people want to do intervention projects, allow for people to do projects which are of interest to them. I already had a project written. Make sure that those entering HSTA know ACCURATELY about all the applications in undergraduate AND graduate school before they get to their senior year and receive shocking information. Make sure teachers receive the information on the waivers.

16 Please provide additional comments about your learning / social experiences during the Senior HSTA Summer Institute.  The best part about the Senior HSTA Summer Institute is learning about all of the scholarships that I never knew were available.  I liked the team building and the tour of the campus  I liked the CHAMPS program most. It will ultimately make my senior year enjoyable and less stressed because my project is practically done  I am very excited to go to college after having the opportunity to interact with college faculty members. I feel like I have a head start when I start college with my knowledge of scholarships and financial aid I gained this week.

17 Please provide additional comments about your learning / social experiences during the Senior HSTA Summer Institute.  I love the atmosphere that meeting with the university faculty members created. It made me want to already be graduated and on my way to college in the fall. I can't wait to start my future.  Seeing so many people with their doctorate degree really inspires me to achieve my goals especially since some people did not have a plan, but they did have a dream.  It was very touching that we are seniors. It finally hit when i was sitting at that table with all of my HSTA members, that i am graduating. HSTA is almost over for me. It makes me sad and happy at the same time because I don't want to leave all these amazing people, but I have accomplished one of my goals. The closing ceremony helped me realized how blessed I am.
