2. The Metric System a system used to measure stuff Quantities – the things we measure Mass – (this is NOT weight) – the amount of stuff in something – measured with a tool called a balance in units called grams

5. The Metric System a system used to measure stuff Time – we all know what time is Measured with a tool called a clock or stopwatch in units called seconds

6. The Metric System a system used to measure stuff Temperature – a measurement of the average kinetic energy of the particles in matter. How hot or cold something is! Measured with a tool called a thermometer in units called degrees Celsius
