2 MLA In-Text Citations for Web Pages
If you signal the author’s name in your sentence, you’re going to put an abbreviated version of the speech’s title in the parenthetical. Ex: In Hillary Clinton’s speech, she states that women deserve, “access to education, health care, jobs and credit, the chance to enjoy basic legal and human rights and to participate fully in the political life of our countries” (“Women’s Rights”). If you DON’T signal the author’s name, you’ll put the name of the author in the parentheses. Ex: The notion of “enjoying basic and legal human rights to participate in the political life of our countries” is a use of logos (Clinton).
