1 Updated: July 2015

2 Only users with the Admin agent or the Sales agent role are able to add or update Reseller-of-record information. Note: Users who have the Admin agent or Sales agent role can add or change the Reseller-of-record information in the Partner Center.

3 With the Reseller-of-Record feature in the Partner Center, resellers must have a valid MPN ID to be validated. 2-Tier partners should inform their resellers on the necessity of resellers’ click-accepting the MOSPA in order to be validated partners. When an MPN ID is entered into in Partner Center to indicate a Reseller-of-record, some Partners have entered a MPN ID of a reseller that doesn’t have an advisor MPN status; that is, hasn’t click-accepted the Microsoft Online Services Partner Agreement (MOSPA) when they set up their MPN account or later within their MPN Partner Membership Center. This is why the Reseller isn’t validated when entered in the Partner Center. To check if the organization has signed/accepted MOSPA, the primary program admin has to login to Partner Membership Center and on the bottom left of the page, they will see the Microsoft Online Services Partner Agreement under the “Additional Programs”: !

4 ! If the Reseller has already signed/accepted MOSPA, they will see the word “Status”. If they have not, they will see the word “Enroll”. They can click on the hyperlink which will bring them to the Microsoft Online Services page where they can click on the checkbox to sign MOSPA. Once they have signed MOSPA, the status will show up as “Completed”, as you can see from screenshot below:
