6 Cultural Diffusion The process by which an object or an idea from one culture spreads to different cultures  Example: When the Spanish brought horses to the Americas  Example: the Arrival of Pizza from Italy  Example: McDonalds Restaurants found in countries around the world! Cultural diffusion has happened throughout history and is still happening today! A new event or idea is usually transported by some mechanism that causes it to move from one place to another. The authors of the sources were present during the experience or time period, offering an inside viewpoint on the event!  Example: Diary of Ann Frank-Ann Frank was present during the Holocaust  Example: Martin Luther King’s I have a Dream Speech-He was present during the Civil Rights Movement and during his actual speech!  Example: letters, autobiographies, news film, etc.  A document or object that was written or created during the specific time being studied.
