5 Grades in AP Music Theory Grading Criteria (Per Quarter): Homework/Classwork:40% A composite of all assignments collected. These may be from the workbook, the text, a written assignment from me, a singing exercise, etc. Exams:25% Quizzes:15% Projects/Presentations:15% Participation:5% TOTAL100%

6 How You Can Help… Ask them to demonstrate exercises from class… Encourage them to listen to your music! Speak to them about your experiences with music and art – what inspired you when you were their age, and what continues to inspire you! Attend many concerts with different music, of our culture and of others, on instruments familiar and strange.
