1 Mind Body and Soul Intro Lesson Learning Objective: to reflect on your worries/concerns for the upcoming year and reflecting on the learner you need to be.

2 Mind Body and Soul What is the unit about? This unit is all about getting prepared for Year 11. The unit will be divided up into three parts: Mind, Body and Soul. In each part you will explore, discuss and reflect on ways to make this your most successful year at Wildern. What will I be doing? Mind: You will be exploring issues surrounding exam stress and mental health (e.g. Anxiety) as well as looking at how to revise effectively. Body: You will be exploring how your wellbeing effects your ability to revise effectively and create a revision timetable. Soul: You will be reflecting on what your long term goals are and how you will achieve them.

15 Action Planning Select the statement you rated yourself the most worried about. Now think about what you are going to do about this. Write on your post it note something you are going to do before Christmas to try and tackle your worries. I am most worried about... So I am going to...

16 What do you need to be like? Think of all the characteristics/dispositions/qualities you need to have and develop to be a successful learner. Write as many as you can think of on the board.

17 What do you need to develop? Select 3 learning qualities/dispositions/ characteristics from the board that you personally want to develop this year and why.
