TOPIC HOW TO KEEP YOUR NEIGHBOROUD, SCHOOL, AND CITY CLEAN AND POLLUTION FREE Prepared by yash mittal Class-VI A School- S.R. D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL PUPRI

Steps to keep your neighborhood clean and pollution free Steps 1. First of all, set a good example and don‘t litter. besides the fact that you won't be neighborhood. However, this does not mean participating in wild protests or engaging in violent actions; these will only hurt your cause. Get permission from local stores, churches, restaurants, etc. to put up signs encouraging people to give the environment more consideration. While this may seem cliché, it can make a difference if your signs are good and get people's attention.

Steps to keep your neighborhood clean and pollution free 2.If your town is always plagued by litter, organize a town cleanup. This can be done by schools, churches, clubs,or any other groups of people willing to help pick up the litter.

Steps to keep your neighborhood clean and pollution free 3. If your area has pollution, your best bet may be cut down on activities that contribute to it. Try carpooling or public transportation, and if you smoke, try to quit. To help prevent water pollution, only flush or pour things down the sink that will not damage the water supply; avoid putting paint, old medications, glue, and other potentially damaging items down the sink or toilet. Learn what the appropriate ways of disposing of these things are.

Tips to keep your neighborhood clean and pollution free See if there is anything the city could be doing to help keep the area clean. For example, if you feel there aren't enough trash cans around town or that your town doesn't have a good recycling program, write to the appropriate people to let them know.

Warnings to keep your neighborhood clean and pollution free Depending on the type of people in your town, you may or may not convince others to help you in your effort. If this is the case, don't give up; remember that everything you do counts.

Steps to keep your school pollution free Steps 1. In order for your school to reduce or eliminate the amount of pollutants and wastes it generates, an attitude of ‘’less is better’’ should be adopted. All students, teachers, administrative staff, and janitors must ask themselves, ‘’Is there a different way to do this that generates less waste or uses safer materials?’’ Every class room should have dustbin.

Steps to keep your school pollution free 2. The following is a combination of P2 concepts that can help your school prevent health hazards, create less environmental pollution, and save money. P2 opportunities presented in the other fact sheets may also be appropriate for your school. 3. Some of the P2 concepts presented below can be completed individually or in groups, but some of the P2 tips will require working with the janitor, principal, or other faculty members to make sure they are implemented.

Steps to keep prevent your school from water pollution Fix leaks in faucets and pipes. Rinse all dishes at once by using a dish rack placed placed in the sink. Only run the dishwasher when it is full. Practice water-efficient landscaping. If school grounds must be watered, do so in the morning or evening so water will soak in to root systems and not be lost to evaporation. Also, school grounds should not be watered more than every third day not on windy days.

Steps to keep prevent your school from water pollution Use a minimal amount of fertilizers on school grounds or try finding natural alternatives to fertilizing. Fertilizers can migrate in to water bodies and harm aquatic ecosystems. Use sand on icy walks instead of salt, which pollutes water and can harm plants. Do not pour hazardous materials, such as science class chemicals down the drain because they can eventually be released in to drinking water sources.

Ways to keep your city clean and pollution free Ways We can keep our city clean only if the people of our city think like us. Without public cooperation we cannot achieve anything. So first to keep our city clean there should be a huge awareness programs to the public and also introduce new rules if necessary. Only our thinking does not make our city clean. USE CNG.

Ways to keep your city clean and pollution free Keeping our city clean is every citizen's duty. First we should love our country. We sing songs praising BHARATH MATHA and so on but we never think twice to throw dirt anywhere that suits us. Strict law should be enforced like the one in Singapore who litter. This way fine also can be collected which in turn can be used for DEV PURPOSES. In a democratic country like ours people take for granted everything and if one tries to educate about this one may not take it in the right spirit. In fact they feel we are too interfering. Hence better to enforce fine. Treat waste in chemicals of factory.

WAYS TO KEEP YOUR CITY CLEAN AND POLLUTION FREE We should maintain our environment clean and green keep plants around the house. Plants are amazing at cleaning their environment. Having them in your house can reduce indoor air pollutants by more than half. Great choices are English ivy and peace lilies, which absorb toxic gases like benzene and formaldehyde. Just be sure that if you have pets or small children that you opt for plants that are not poisonous.

Steps to keep your city clean and pollution free Steps 1.Educate the people about it. 2.Do not use plastic bag 3.Do not through garbage in the open area. 4.Grow plants. 5.Use solar energy because it does not produce residue.
