5 Class Rules Follow the Tribes Agreements (Mutual Respect, No Put-Downs, Attentive Listening, Right to Pass). Turn in work on time. Complete all assignments Work without disturbing others Follow Class rules as constructed by class

6 Classroom Supplies Each child has their own supply box
Based on 4th grade supply kit Supplies are not shared and will be not be replenished. If you did not purchase kits one has been provided for your child. If you would like to donate the cost to PTA, they would appreciate the donation. Extras – 2 inch binder and 5 tabs (due Monday). Cover textbooks with purchased covers or paper (no contact paper or tape on books) Mechanical Pencils and Lead are great for the classroom and are highly encouraged! Hand-held sharpeners are great too!

7 Homework Due first thing in the morning on the assigned date
Average: 40 minutes – 50 minutes per night Monday through Thursday. This is in addition to 20 minutes of reading each night. Schedule may vary depending on curriculum and projects

8 Homework Breakdown Language Arts – 20 minutes Math – 25 minutes
History/Science – 20 minutes (spread over multiple days) Reading – 20 minutes

9 Missed Homework Tickets
Dear Parent(s): I did not complete my homework on I am missing: If I turn it in tomorrow, I will receive credit. Student Signature: Parent Signature: Keeps a record of missing assignments Makes students responsible for their own work Gives students an opportunity to make up missed work Keeps parents informed

10 Grading Scale Tests - % graded and rubric graded Assignments – Varies
plus/check/minus, star/happy face, or stamped – just for acknowledgement of completion Rubric System 4 = Exceeds grade level standards 3 = Meets grade level standards (80% - 100%) 2 = Below grade level standards (70% - 79%) 1 = Unacceptable work level (69% and below)
