4 Lesson 3 Quiz – help and reminders!  Question #1 – Answer choice D  “ undisclosed process or procedure ” means they don’t tell anyone how they did the experiment.  Question #2 – If she keeps it the same, it can’t be the variable she changes!  Question #3 – read! If you don’t understand what you read, try underlining what you think is important. If you still don’t understand, ask me to read it!  Question #4 – think of the penny lab! On the back REMEMBER YOUR FORMATS!

6 What are the most common data displays? 1.Tables – used to keep data organized during an experiment - Easy to make graphs from.

7 What are the most common data displays? 2. Graphs – used to show data and make it easy to compare.

8 What are the different types of graphs?  Bar graphs  Line Graphs  Pie/Circle Graph

9 When do you use each graph?  You use a bar graph when:  You are comparing part to part Part of the class likes soccer, another part likes softball.

10 When do you use each graph?  You use a line graph when:  TIME is part of your data! Days and months are both measurements of time. What other units of time are there?

11 When do you use each graph?  You use a pie or circle graph when:  Comparing part to whole  Percentages are involved! In each of these, part of the class likes one thing, but you can see compared to the WHOLE class, how much that part is.?

12 When you are finished  Read a book.  Get caught up on missing work for me.  Get yourself organized. Use my binder or a classmates’ binder as a reference!
