10 10 Possible Energy Measurement Solutions – Phase I A new means for metering and data collection from remote locations: 1.Over 1 year in development 2.Real-time capabilities within 5 minutes (maximum) 3.State of the art, mesh network technology reduces expense 4.Very cost-effective 5.User friendly interface and information display

11 11 Possible Energy Measurement Solutions – Phase I OK, is it economically justified? Energy Awareness: initial 3% to 5% per year reduction in energy consumption is a reasonable target, given current low levels of awareness (exclusive of individual energy management projects) NCCU’s power costs are in excess of $2.1 MILLION per year EPA Experience: Energy cost reductions have accrued to over 10% per year. Target individual projects: ?%
