2. What is it? Grassland eco-system is an eco-system found in tropical areas near to the equator. A lot of plants and animals live there. Even humans. There are a lot of grass lands found in Africa. Grasslands are very big. Grasslands can be very useful to humans because they can use the land for farming and to hunt animals.

3. Biotic components in the eco-system Biotic: There are many biotic components in the grasslands. For example plants like bushes, trees, and shrubs. There can be also many animals like elephants, tigers and birds. Some people like animal hunters and villagers also live there. Many biotic things can be foun

4. Abiotic components in the grasslands eco-system Abiotic: There are also many abiotic components in the grassland eco-system. For example soil is not living but it has a lot of use. Rocks and sunlight are also not living. Even people’s house’s were once biotic but now abiotic.

5. Interdependence happening in grassland Many interdependence are happening in grassland eco- system. For example all animals and living things there need their habitat to live. And it also has to be complete. Fro example if grass was taken away. Animals wont eat anything and will eventually be extinct. Also if there isn’t any soil the plants wont grow well because plants need soil to grow to provide nutrients for them. Plants also need sunlight and water to grow well. Humans also depends on animals to grow. They will hunt them and sell them for money or eat them

9. Why should we protect grasslands. The grasslands found in Africa is very beautiful. It provides a shelter to many animals. Some animals can only live here. Everyone should stop building train tracks. It will damage the area. People also burn parts of the grassland to plant any plants they want. 10. Why I chose this eco-system I chose this eco-system because I want to know more about it. Many people in my class usually talks about the rainforest or the mangroves. We almost never talked about the biodiversity in here. So I want to know more about what is living here and maybe I can find a animal or plant species I never knew

11. Awesome fact Most grassland fire occurs in 1800-1900 because of trains passing by. The sparks hit the ground and may cause fire.
