4 Physical Education Schedule Middle School Students Physical Education every other day One and a half hour period All school year Walk to the Gym High School Students Physical Education every day One hour period Half of the school year Drive to the Gym

5 Health Curriculum Middle School Students Health Activities are completed on days of inclement weather Character Development Attitude, Respect, Integrity High School Students Health Activities are planned for every Tuesday. Character development Sex education Drug and alcohol education

6 YMCA Partnership This year, CSL is funding a partnership with the Lower Bucks YMCA. From November through March, we will use their facility for Phys. Ed. classes. Students will have guided use of the gym, racquetball room, aerobic room, weight room, fitness center, pool, and the “YMCA-Zone.”

7 Student Grades Physical Education is a pass or fail class Participation, attendance, and behavior constitute 100% of the students’ grade. Each day, students can earn 100 points in class. 50 points for attending class on time. 10 points are deducted for being late. 50 points for participating in class. 10 points are deducted each time a class rule is violated (each violation is documented by the teacher).

8 Class Rules Be Respectful Listen to teacher the first time Stay in control of your body Keep your hands to yourself Do not use foul language

9 Behavior Expectations All students are expected to act responsibly and respectfully at all times. Behavior violations will all be documented and discussed with students. If poor behavior is not corrected, the student will be referred to the behavioral specialist and will miss one day of class.

10 Permission Slips This is just a reminder that permission slips for the YMCA are due. Students must bring them in in order to use the YMCA’s facilities for free. REMINDER
