N.B -Activities will be indoors and outdoors -In Activities sometimes the children will be lead by an adult, and other times the child will lead the learning with the teacher supporting. -Toilet training taking place throughout the day where applicable. -This routine is flexible and only used as a guideline.

Develop fine motor skills by cutting, sewing, dot-to-dots etc Writing is exciting! Point out writing in the environment.

23. Covers counting, sorting, and matching, Children work with numbers, shape, space and measures. Children learn through stories, songs, games and imaginative play. Mathematical Development

24. Point out numbers around you, on houses, cars, television channels, cookers and microwaves. Say number names in order as you climb the stairs, count teddies on a bed, plates on the table etc Compare quantities, who has the most sweets, which shopping bag is heavier?. Let them see you using money; allow buying of items when you are together Talk about numbers; is it a big number / small number / what is the next number? Talk about size and shape of things. What can you do to help?
