3 In the Beginning-Planning, Planning,…: To be successful in starting any pathway in IT, you must get all parties to the planning table. District IT office, school IT professionals, Administrators, Guidance Counselors, District CTE office, teachers.

4 Create a Clear Vision: Determine the pathway that is the best fit for your students. Include Community Input. Consult with your Chamber of Commerce to determine if a need exists in the local workforce. Set realistic Goals!

7 Problem #1-Priviledges & Permissions Gaining Administrator rights in your computer lab from the District IT office. Being able to setup and install needed programs. Having access to the command line prompt.

8 Problem #2-Acquiring Software Getting Software Approved to use on District Computers Downloadable Open Source & Free software online Software packages

9 Problem #3-Accessibility Issues Having access to publish Web sites locally. Using FTP. Creating and maintaining Databases.
