4 Academic GPA Fulton County does NOT calculate on a 4.0 scale Only core classes are counted (Language Arts, Science, Math, Foreign Language, and Social Studies) Contact the college admissions office Fulton County counselors CAN NOT calculate GPA’s for you

5 GPA Cumulative Numeric Average: GPA for Fulton County 100 point scale Weighted GPA (includes every grade on your transcript and honor points)

6 HOPE GPA HOPE Scholarship: 3.0 College Prep All honor and AP points are removed You need four advanced courses in high school Calculation and a 0.50 weighting is added back in for AP courses only, not to exceed 4.0. For example, a grade of 96 in AP Lang/Comp  Remove the 7 honor points = 89; usually an 89 = 3.0 however this is an AP course, so 0.50 weighting added back in for an AP course; total weight for this course is 3.5. Middle school Courses are NOT counted A 2.99 GPA does NOT qualify you for HOPE. All calculations are done by the Georgia Student Finance Commission.
