2 Relevance of my research is the need to train specialists and professionals in the field of environmental protection in order to ensure sustainable development of society. The aim of research - theoretical basis and analytical study of future environmentalists. Object of study – training of master- environmentalists. Purpose of research - the means of forming environmental training and development of environmental education.

3 What is environmental education ? Environmental education is a learning process that increases people's knowledge and awareness about the environment and associated challenges, develops the necessary skills and expertise to address the challenges, and fosters attitudes, motivations, and commitments to make informed decisions and take responsible action (UNESCO, Tbilisi Declaration, 1977).

4 Development of environmental education The world's first intergovernmental conference on environmental education was organized by UNESCO in cooperation with the U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP) and was convened in Tbilisi, from October 14-26, 1977. In Ukraine in The concept of environmental education was approved in 2002, the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and provides a clear structure of ecological education, covering all ages, social and professional groups.

5 EE focuses on: Awareness and sensitivity about the environment and environmental challenges Knowledge and understanding about the environment and environmental challenges Attitude concern for the environment and help to maintain environmental quality Skills to mitigate the environmental problems Participation for exercising existing knowledge and environmental related programs.

6 Awareness—to help social groups and individuals acquire an awareness and sensitivity to the total environment and its allied problems. Knowledge—to help social groups and individuals gain a variety of experience in, and acquire a basic understanding of, the environment and its associated problems. Attitudes—to help social groups and individuals acquire a set of values and feelings of concern for the environment and the motivation for actively participating in environmental improvement and protection. Skills—to help social groups and individuals acquire the skills for identifying and solving environmental problems. Participation—to provide social groups and individuals with an opportunity to be actively involved at all levels in working toward resolution of environmental problems.

8 Content of environmental education Formal includes general education system that exists in Ukraine at the following levels: preschool, school, extracurricular, vocational, higher and postgraduate education. Informal part is educational in nature, creates environmental awareness of the population and culture (media, churches, civic environmental and educational associations, parties, etc.).

9 Master programs. Europe. Almost all schools offer programs in Europe aimed at environmental management and management of biological resources, which leads to targeting environmental analysis, landscape planning, management and its methods, but this in turn has a different focus.

11 Wageningen University The most popular program natural trend in Europe is a master's program «Environmental sciences», that include three specialization. "Quality and Environmental System Analysis", "Environmental Policy and Management," "Green Technology."

14 Master Programs. USA. Programs of State University of Georgia, Pennsylvania and Delaware focus on the study of the mechanisms of the relationship of environmental processes and their development over time and modeling in the future.

15 USA. Georgia. Program «Ecology» that is focused on biodiversity, especially on the protection of water and water systems. Delaware. Program «Ecology» directed to conduct advanced research in this field and to enable the acquisition of knowledge and experience in environmental management Pennsylvania. Program «Ecology» that after general part is divided into physiological ecology, population ecology, ecosystemology.

16 USA. State University of Louisiana. Program for students interested in oceanography and coastal areas of research with engineering direction. Minnesota State University. Program focuses on the socio-political approach to sustainable development through focusing attention on the subject: zoning and legal aspects of the urban laws, long-term and strategic planning and policy analysis.
