7 Interns At OSPTA (Job Description)
I was considered a shadow/intern/AIDE during my time at OSPTA. I mostly shadowed Physical Therapists within the two clinics I attended.  I was an intern trying to gain experience within the field for future gains.  I would help around the clinic with patients and complete day to day activates like a normal paid AIDE would to gain some personal experience. I was never assigned one specific task for more than a day during my internship at OSPTA. Tasks varied by day, which allowed for an extremely useful experience.

8 Goals of Internship Going into my internship, I already had the overall goal to gain more knowledge in my field of study with physical therapy that involved learning many more concepts about the entirety of it. I also had a goal to create future opportunities for myself within the physical therapy world through the staff within the practice. I wanted to gain focus on tasks specific within the physical therapy world.

12 Conclusion / Overall Experience
OSPTA was my first ever experience working within the medical field. I was able to expand my physical therapy knowledge and all of the different fields associated. I was able to get a first-hand experience of physical therapy applications. I was also able to walk away from this whole ordeal with a clear vision of what I wanted to focus on more specifically within physical therapy. The knowledge and relationships I have acquired during my time at the clinic will last with me for years to come. I think overall that is the true purpose of one’s entering into an internship. To learn, create lasting relationships, and most importantly, to find your passion within your given field of interest is the most important thing. These are all the things I was able to walk away with from my internship experience at OSPTA and I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity.
