3. Dear Class, Today we will be starting to write poems. During Morning Meeting, I will be reading a book to you called, Love That Dog and we will learning more about poetry and MY love of poetry (lucky you!) Please work on the poem at your desk and bring it to Morning Meeting.

4. Dear Class, What about poetry? What do you like about it? What don’t you like about it? Read the poetry book at your desk and jot down any lines that you like. Write them down in your Writers Notebook and bring them with you to Morning Meeting.

5. News and announcements': Let's make it snow. Write one positive thing about your week on the piece of paper at your desk and sign your name. When we come to Morning Meeting, not before, you will make it into a snowball and share it with another person.
