4 Memberships The type of account you created will determine the choices of styles available Free account = fewer choices, shorter movies Educator account = more choices, longer movies, 6 month membership (might take a day to be approved) Plus account (what I have) = more choices, longer movies, 12 month membership (30.00/year)

6 Make a Movie in 3 steps Upload photos or video Customize style and music Share and enjoy!

7 Taking Great Photographs Camera Cell phone iPod touch Kid Pix Scanner or Copier Hover Cam or other document camera ◦ Put items to be photographed on a solid color background ◦ Create an anti-glare tent with construction paper ◦ Other lighting ideas can be found herehere

8 Creating a Movie Activity Take about 10 photos of people sitting near you Create a folder on the desktop to copy your pictures from your device to the desktop Sign-in to AnimotoAnimoto

9 Making the Movie Click the Create button on the top right corner of the screen

10 Choose a Style Brilliance and Animoto Original are both great choices for most classroom movies Choose a background style to highlight the photos

11 Click Create Video

12 Upload Pictures and Video Click the box to upload and select where you want to upload pictures from ◦ Desktop folder ◦ Facebook ◦ Instagram ◦ Many other choices This is the part that takes the longest

13 Changing Music Click on the bar above the pictures with the song title to change the music in your video ◦ Genre ◦ Length of song Music can also be uploaded from your computer (beware of copyright laws)

14 Pacing Click on the settings gear on the right side In the pop up window, adjust the speed to fit your pictures This can cause some pictures to be bumped from your video

15 Should I add text? Movie title Names of people in the pictures Short captions about a photo The name of the person creating the movie

16 Preview Always click preview Check for: ◦ Spelling errors ◦ Image direction ◦ Image speed

17 Pre-view Pop-up Window Add a Title, Description, and Date Skip & Produce Or Continue Editing

18 You Did It! You just made your first Animoto movie It is amazing, you want more…. You are thinking of those vacation pictures you took last month…… Oh and those really great pictures from your class that you took at the end of the year picnic…. Try it out at home and you will soon be just as addicted as I am

19 Adding Animoto to Power Point MAC ~ download and insert into Power Point PC ~ convert from MP4 to WMV using ZamzarZamzar
