5 Project History: Original Center was opened in 1996 Functions have been added to the original mission of the Center from time to time Space Study was completed to address housing of these additional functions in 2004 Preliminary studies for placing Harris County Sheriff dispatch functions at the Center were made in 2006 Federal Funds were approved for priority transportation and emergency management expansion projects in 2007 Local Funding for Sheriff expansions failed to pass approval in 2007 Projects to be constructed by Federal funds were prioritized in 2008

Mostly the same. 5242 Sq ft expansion of equipment and office space (all raised flooring) Additional A/C Chiller and upgrade A/C plumbing to bigger feed lines Additional electrical service

18 6. Generator Access Room Utility room to connect main building to emergency generator building for access to generator during hurricanes. Also used as storage and building maintenance shop (833 sq ft).

22 8. Front Entrance Security Project ROBERT PERRY HAS PLANS FOR FRONT ENTRANCE WITHOUT BULLET PROOF INTERIOR GLASS STOREFRONT Enlarge Foyer into exiting porch. Sliding front doors. Rolldown storm doors. Construct new porch with handicap ramps and planters. Storm resistant windows to outside, bullet proof storefront panels to lobby side

25 9. Emergency Kitchen Minimum of 500 Sq ft Replace existing Men’s & Women’s showers with kitchen equipment With counters opening into existing break room. Demolish existing kitchen space & extend break room into that space.
