1 AFCEA New Continuing Education (CE) Program Team Members: AFCEA PDC Cypherpath LLC CompTIA

2 AFCEA CE Program Management AFCEA now offers members an opportunity to sustain DoD 8570.01-M mandated certifications for the cybersecurity/IA workforce through continuing education. Many AFCEA conferences, courses and events will provide a unique opportunity to earn continuing education units (CEUs) through pre- qualified activities that include relevant technical knowledge. The first phase of this CE solution currently supports CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ with plans for expansion to others in the future. Individual participation requires enrollment in the CompTIA CE Program and adherence to submission documentation requirements to earn CEUs.

3 CEU Process for Events AFCEA event lead submits to Cypherpath:  content outline/descriptive info of events which may pre-qualify for CEUs Cypherpath coordinates with certification provider:  pre-qualification of AFCEA events Cypherpath notifies AFCEA which events are qualified:  AFCEA promotes qualified event info in program guides/website Event staff arranges to record attendee info:  scanner or sign-in sheet; forwards info to Cypherpath Cypherpath prepares/e-mails valid CEU Submission Document:  attendee enrolls in CE Program online and uploads valid documents

4 Qualifying CompTIA CEU Activities 1.Participation in Other Training (training is not limited to cybersecurity topics) 1 CEU each hour of validated training 2.Participation in CompTIA Certification Training Program Using CompTIA Approved Quality Content (CAQC) 1 CEU each hour of validated training 3.Active Participation on an IT-Related Board OR As an Active Member of an IT Association 3 CEUs per year - participation on IT-related board, OR 2 CEUs per year – participation as an IT association member 4.Participation in Industry Event, Seminar, Workshop, Podcast/Webinar or Conference 1 CEU each hour in relevant session Refer to program guidelines for submission requirements and maximum CEUs allowed per cycle
