3 Introduction N5R is a 12 year old company. It is a small online Real Estate marketing agency that uses social media in their marketing tactics. They utilize CRM systems to retain their customers and continually inform them about the Real Estate market and deals available.

4 Company Operations They have an e-business model of advertising Real Estate They employ tactics like SEO, Blogging, Lead nurturing emails and Lead intelligence. They have 10 people in the company with 5 Project managers.

5 SWOT Strengths :  They have an efficient knowledge flow within the company  They have a diverse range of projects from Mexico to Utah and to Toronto  The company makes an effort to retain customers by using lead intelligence through analytic tools they use this information to keep in touch with these customers

6 SWOT Weaknesses :  The company is understaffed  The company lacks proper hierarchy  The CRM the company switched to has a lot of faults due to research. They switched from Salesforce.com to Highrise.com  Their website does not have enough information that shows it’s a social media company for real estate.

7 SWOT Opportunities :  Being an e-business the company has the opportunity to get clients all over the globe.  They should also invest in researching software before they use it so that their system in the company runs efficiently

8 SWOT Threats:  There are other big real estate marketing agencies that have an e-business model so there is a lot of competition for N5R.  The other companies use both traditional methods and online methods which makes them more successful than N5R.

9 Issues Inefficient use of Knowledge Management system Content Management system limited They are understaffed - one person handles many client The Staff is not properly Trained

10 Issues Company expect employees to know everything already when they get in. Use of CRM system that does not meet their needs Technological biases among employees Eg. Sales person who has 12 years of experience in sales need to also know how to do websites and write blogs.

11 Issues Lack of useful training -Content Management system is not flexible -The CEO has no assistant to go with him while discussing with clients to get information about the project

12 Possible Solutions Change CRM system Employ more people that have specialization in different areas Outsource some tasks to relieve Project managers of some duties Get assistant to go with CEO on Project signings to find out information about the project.

13 Possible Solutions This assistant would be able to better inform the project manager about details of the project. The information should also be put up on Google docs which is their knowledge management system so everybody has access to this information Explore traditional methods of advertising

14 Group’s chosen solution Change CRM system Employ more people that have specialization in different areas Have an assistant to go with the CEO on project signings to document information about the project and upload to their Knowledge management system. Explore traditional methods of advertising also

15 Conclusion With more staff, better technologies, teams that have members with specialization and better information flow the company would be run more efficiently.
