My favorite thing I read in English in 9 th grade was The Odyssey because it has adventure. Stories with adventure draw my attention a lot more than regular boring novels.

I cannot stand speaking in front of other people. I’ve always had stage fright, even as a little kid. I could never speak in front of anyone, not even my friends.
6
In English, I really enjoyed the Romeo and Juliet family feud game. It was a lot of fun and helped me understand the story more. I didn’t like going to the poetry expo very much. As mentioned previously, I don’t like to speak in front of other people.

You can always be sure that I will do my best in everything that I do. I’m a quiet person at first but you can assure that I will get my work done.

The best way to help me be a better learner is to visually teach me what needs to be taught. I learn better if I see what I’m supposed to be doing. But don’t get me wrong, I can learn either way, it’s just easier for me to learn visually.

My favorite subject is English. Even as a younger boy, I loved to write. From what I have heard from all my teachers, I am I good writer. Personally, I think I am also. My favorite thing I wrote this year was my Personal Odyssey. The assignment was to write at least 5 paragraphs. I wrote 6 pages. If it’s a good topic, I can write about it forever.

I am happiest when I devote my time to something and it turns out great in the end. Writing a essay or helping with the 2010 yearbook is a good example. It’s great when you put effort into something and everything goes well.

My philosophy about life is don’t give up. In 2008, when I was a Freshmen, I failed English 9 by 1 point. I don’t know how, but I’m kind of glad it happened. If I hadn’t failed, I wouldn’t have had Mrs. BouBou for English. She is the best teacher I’ve ever seen! Anyway, I didn’t give up because I failed. I kept going and still won’t even think about giving up.
