2 Collaboration a Critical Issue Collaboration is critical to media specialist because it allows us to show that we are valuable assets to schools. Collaboration allows us to be seen in the classrooms, teaching the students instead of “checking books in and out all day”. Because I face resistance and limitations from the Principal of my school when attempting to change anything about the Media Center, I chose the grade levels that included friends who were willing to let me come to the classrooms to implement this project.
