1  Hey my name is Lucson Noel. My end of the semester project will be about Physical Education, and daily physical activities. Why is it important for kids to stay physical active, and good and bad things that can happen if kids are not physical active?

2  Regular physical activity can produce long term health benefits. People of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities can benefit from being physically active. The more physical activity you do, the greater the health benefits.

3  Daily physical activity is any physical activity that you do on a daily basis; your daily physical activity choice can represent your like of interest. Ex, sports, dance, fitness.  All students in K-8 are required to participate in (PE), at the grade (-12 you are required to take it before you graduate  Participating in a minimum of 150 minutes of physical actives pre week.  Participating in activity in periods of 10min or more  Include endurance, strength, and flexibility activity

4  Getting physical active might be easier than you think! Any moderate physical activity that you engage in at home or at school, or in the community counts as daily physical activate for example  Get to and from school (walking or Biking)  During school classes, such as PE or dance  Playing games and sports during lunch time

5  Nutrition is very important for everyone, but it is especially important for children because it is directly linked to all aspects of their growth and development; factors which will have direct ties to their level of health as adults. For example, a child with the right balance of omega fatty acids in their daily diet has a much better chance at creating a more solid foundation for their brain activity and capabilities later on. Likewise, a child who practices a low fat and cholesterol diet on a daily basis significantly improves their chances of preventing a heart attack; even if heart disease tends to be hereditary within your family.

6  Obesity  Low levels of physical activity are leading contributors to some of the most urgent health challenges facing our country today, including obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer and diabetes  More than one-third of adults in the U.S. —over 72 million people—and 17% of children in the U.S. are obese.  From 1980 to 2000, obesity rates for adults doubled and rates for children tripled.  More than 90% of U.S. adults consume sodium in excess of recommendations by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.  Fully 81% of U.S. adults do not meet federal guidelines for physical activity and muscle strengthening.

8  Parents play a big role on their child being physical active. As a parent if you’re not physical active, then most likely your child will follow your footsteps.  Parents should motivate their kids to go outside play for at least 60 min day, or get introduce them in sports.  Parents shouldn’t aloud their child to sit in front of the TV all day do nothing.  Parents should watch what they feed their child; they should feed them more fruits and vegetables.  Parents should do family activities together at least 2-3 times a week

10  Increase your chances of living longer  Feel better about your self  Decrease your chances of becoming depressed  Sleep well at night  Have stronger muscles and bones  Stay at or get to a healthy weight  Be with friends or meet new people  Risk low of obesity

11  Join an online community for support and ideas to become more active
