What’s so shocking about this planned Nazi policy from 1943?  How different are these attitudes from before the party came to power? “All single and married women up to the age of 35, who do not already have four children, must have four children. The fathers should be racially pure German men. It does not matter if these men are married or not. Any family that already has children must set the husband free for this action.”

4  Your task Read p.64-5 and note down the ways in which women were encouraged to help the regime. 9  Your task Study the information from the SHP textbook. Identify as many contradictions in Nazi policy towards women as you can.  Study the charts in Source 10. How successful were Nazi policies towards women between 1933 and 1939?
