3 3.A place where democratic values and citizenship are nurtured and further developed within the context of nation building and character building 4.A laboratory for life sciences and human development with a conducive climate for inquiring minds and academic atmosphere to pursue teachers’ professional development as life-long, reflective learners on a continuing basis

4 THE FUTURE INDONESIAN STUDENTS will be: 1.A fully functioning person with capability, creativity, and competence to live in a modern world yet adhering to Indonesian cultural identity 2.A gradually developed person in all aspects of multiple intelligence through reflective thinking skills from early childhood to college level (an educational level-sensitive human development approach) 3.An evolving person to use the opportunities provided by the school curriculum to develop PSHCER (personal, social, health, and citizenship including career educational and religiosity )

5 THE FUTURE INDONESIAN STUDENTS will be: 4.A fully developed individual with soft skills (communication, application of numbers, information technology, working with others, and problem solving) as well as working skills according to social & occupational demands. 5.A fully partiicipating member of society at the family, local, regional, national and global communities (not isolated from societal issues)

6 WHO ARE THE FUTURE INDONESIAN TEACHERS ? 1. A person who is a graduate of a Fully Accredited Teacher Professional Preparation Program (S1 + Professional Program) 2. A person who demonstrates the mastery of four basic competencies, namely (a) pedagogical (b) professional (c) social and (d) psychological competencies to carry out the tasks of teachers to function as manager and facilitator of students’ learning 3. A person who has the skills, repertoire of teaching performances in various contexts, and adaptability.

7 WHO ARE THE FUTURE INDONESIAN TEACHERS ? 4.A person who share common qualities, namely: (a) good at explaining, (b) knowledgeable about the subject, (c) able to vary their teaching sytyle, (d) friendly and has a sense of humor, (e) firm but fair, and (f) genuinely interested in students’ progress; 5.A person who is responsive to issues and problems in classroom and field learning experiences and able to use them as inspiring challenges for improved teaching performances and better education

8 WHO ARE THE FUTURE INDONESIAN TEACHERS ? 6. 6.A person who has a talent, right attitudes towards education, high motivation, and love to teach students (not subjects), has developed life-long learning capacity, and ability to reflectively assess his/her own experiences as well as others in his/her sustainable career development 7. to the societal needs, and to develop good public image 7.A person who is aware of and adheres to the laws, rules and regulations pertinent to the educational system in Indonesian contexts, and able to use those laws, rules and regulations to promote education for all, to improve the quality and relevance of education to the societal needs, and to develop good public image 8.A person who is aware of, and strive through personal pursuit to become independent, life-long learner, and put considerable efforts to be a worthy citizen to have significant contribution at school, national and even international level
