4 Program Updates: The program team has been focused on the following activities:  Completed mobilization activities including Oracle BI training and establishing program organization  Completed initial assessment of the current-state reporting environment within Finance, Student, RISe, Learning Apps, and PAIR as input into the IR solution blueprint  Assessing the data analysis, reports and dashboard functionality provided by the Oracle Finance & Student Data Warehouse solutions  Confirmed the scope of work against the approved budget  International Student Initiative pilot underway  Initiated the build of the Oracle BI environment

8 Master Data Management The Identity and Access Management (IAM) program has raised several data challenges that impact the Integrated Reporting program:  Unclear System of Record and defined owners/stewards of master data (e.g. Student, Employees, Location, Assets, Vendors)  No proper governance organization - Lack of authority or responsibility to make master data decisions  Fragmented and inconsistent Systems of Record exists within UBC (e.g. several systems of record for identifying a person)  Significant resources are spent on finding, understanding, cleansing and reconciling data  Systems lack flexibility to handle growing data needs/requirements

11 Next Steps  Discovery phases to install and assess the Finance and Student DW functionality with key SMEs and Stakeholders to assess and prioritize packaged reports and dashboards  Complete International Student Initiative and conduct early assessment of the usability of the Oracle BI toolset  Initiate Working Committee meetings  Continue to work with PAIR resources to identify opportunity to conduct OBIEE pilot  Further Assess Master Data Management solutions with IAM program The key activities for the program over the next few months include:
