1. General actions May 2005The Gender Panel was established November 2005The Gender Action Plan was presented at the first annual CARBOOCEAN meeting February 2006The CARBOOCEAN Steering Committee approved the Gender Action Plan March 2006The Gender Panel web page was established April/May 2006Gender Statistics was collected from the partners

Task 2.4 Training The CARBOOCEAN summer school was held in Bergen from 18-25 June, where 8 of 20 participants were female (40%). Dr. Marion Gehlen from partner 6 LSCE was appointed as a mentor at the course. A gender issue meeting was held 22 June, and all participants attended.

Statistics The gender statistics that has been used are those that have been reported by the partners in the EC questionnaire “Gender Interim and final reporting on the implementation of the gender action plan”. The following should be taken into account when analysing the statistics: -10 partners have not submitted their data; among them some of the larger partners where there are female participants. Data from one partner is incomplete.
