4 Literacy Reading Journals: Reading Journals: Encourage children to read aloud and discuss their books to someone at home, at least 3 times a week. Children are also expected to write their own comments about what they’ve read or complete a Reading Journal activity from the sheet at the back of their books. Please refer to the questions and targets in the reading journals for discussions. Writing: Writing: Children are given opportunities to write in different genres. They are expected to read through their work, edit and improve.
