2 The production of offspring from one parent. Results in offspring that are genetically identical to the parent.

3 Mitosis Cells create new cells by dividing in two through a process called mitosis Used to grow and repair damaged tissues

4 Binary Fission Binary Fission: one organism divides itself into 2 which results in 2 genetically identical organisms

6 Spore Formation Spore Formation: Spores made by mitosis develop into a new organism after dispersal (Ex: fungus, algae)

7 Regeneration If an organism loses a body part, it can regrow that part

8 Sexual Reproduction -2 parents are involved in the production of offspring -Genetic material from each parent combines producing genetically different offspring
