 Greek and Roman  Monster  Known as The Hydra  In the Greek version the hydra is a dragon  In the Roman version the hydra is a snake  Both versions say it has nine heads

The Hydra is a Greek and Roman monster and it was the offspring of Typhon and Echidna, and was brought up by Hera. The Roman version says it’s the offspring of STYX and Pallas. It had nine heads and lived near the city Lerna which is in Argolis. There are two types of hydras because of the origin the Greek hydra is a dragon and the Roman hydra is a snake.

The Hydra has many abilities but its coolest are it being able to breathe fire and it can regenerate two more heads if you to cut one off. The Hydra is mostly known for its epic battle with Hercules and for terrorizing the people of Lerna.

The Hydras downfall came from Hercules when it swallowed him whole and Hercules cut it in half from the inside of it.

The Hydra is shown in the Disney movie Hercules and also it was shown in Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
