1 CASE SERIES IN CONGENITAL UTERO-VAGINAL ANOMALIES
ABSTRACT NUMBER-66

2 INTRODUCTION Utero-vaginal anomalies(UVAs) are caused by alterations in development or fusion of the müllerian ducts. UVAs are classified into four types(according to Modified Rock and Adam -AFS classification): Systematic analysis in imaging allows accurate morphologic demonstration and classification of UVAs with associated pelvic lesions or renal anomalies. CLASS DEFECTS I Dysgenesis II Vertical fusion defects III Lateral fusion defects IV Unusual configurations

3 CASE -1 14 year old female patient came with complaints of severe lower abdominal pain, predominantly on left side. Attained menarche two months back.

4 CASE -1 Left renal fossa empty Right Endometrial cavity
Left vaginal cavity with collection Right cervix Left renal fossa empty

5 CASE -1 Left endometrial cavity Endometrial cavity of Right uterus
Left vaginal cavity with collection

6 CASE -1 Left endomerial cavity of uterus Right Endometrial cavity Left vaginal cavity with collection Uterus Didelphys with Obstructed Right Hemivagina, Ipsilateral Renal Agenesis S/O HERLYN –WERNER WUNDERLICH SYNDROME.

7 CASE-2 Transverse vaginal septum
25 year old female patient, married since 3yrs came with complaints of infertility. Transverse vaginal septum Transverse vaginal septum

8 CASE-3 Hypoplastic uterus
16 year old girl came with complaints of primary amenorrhea. Distance between internal os and fundus is less than 3cm normal sized ovaries Hypoplastic uterus

9 CASE-4 32 year female, married since 8yrs came with complaints of infertility. Flat or convex fundal contour Intercornual angle acute

10 CASE-4 Two cervices Septate uterus

11 CASE-5 28 yr old female came with complaints of infertility.
Obtuse intercornual angle Fundal contour concave Bicornuate uterus

12 CASE-6 27year old female patient came with complaints of secondary infertility, married since 5years. Shallow concave depression of uterine fundus with normal endometrial cavity Arcuate uterus

13 IMAGING CRITERIA FUNDAL CONTOUR

14 bicornuate bicornuate septate Homer, Fertil Steril, 2000

15 IMAGING CRITERIA INTERCORNUAL ANGLE
Angle between Inner Margins of Cavities

16 CASE-7 31year old female came with complaints of lump prolapsing through the vagina for the past 6months.

17 Prolapsed posterior vaginal vault cyst
CASE-7 Prolapsed posterior vaginal vault cyst Thin walled cystic lesion with thin pedicle found arising from postero- lateral wall of vagina

18 CONCLUSION UVAs are a broad and complex spectrum of abnormalities that are often associated with Primary Amenorrhea Infertility Obstetric Complications And Endometriosis. Imaging plays a pivotal role in detecting and there by aiding the management.
