5 To be a shipbuilder you have to be good at math and angles. Shipbuilding is a construction of ships and floating vessels. Largest ship yards were in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. One man, former slave Frederick Douglass, got his masters in shipbuilding when he was just 11 years old.
