6 With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union KOM Riga 27th-29th November 2013 TARGET GROUPS Target groups Target beneficiaries Types of mobility Countries TARGET GROUP 1 Nationals of the third-countries concerned by the geographical lot who are registered in one of the third-country HEIs that is a member of the partnership. Nations of European countries who are registered in one of the European HEIs that is member of partnership. Master, doctorate, staff Third-countries of the lot concerned and European countries TARGET GROUP 2 Nationals of the third-countries concerned by the geographical lot, who: - are registered/work in a higher education institution of these countries that is not included in the partnership - have obtained a university degree or equivalent by an institution of these countries (students only). Nationals of European countries who : - are either registered /work in a HEI (not included in the partnership) of any European country - Have obtained a university degree or equivalent by a HEI of any European Country (students only) Master, doctorate, staff Third-countries of the lot concerned and European countries TARGET GROUP 3 Nationals of the third-countries concerned by the geographical lot who are in particulary in vulnerable situation, for social and political reasons: -Refugee status -Object of unjistifed expulsion from university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination -Indigenous population Undergraduate, Master, doctorate, Post-doctorate Only Third-countries

7 With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union KOM Riga 27th-29th November 2013 APPLICATION PROCESS The calls for application will be made public through the project website and the partners’ communication campaigns. All the applications are submitted online via the project website www.ema2-medea.com www.ema2-medea.com Application in 4 steps : 1.Personal data 2.Mobility choices : 2 choices by students 3.Documents to upload (Cv, motivation letter, level certificate, etc.) 4.EACEA requirement and submission : acknowledgement of receipt

8 With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union KOM Riga 27th-29th November 2013 - Clear procedures with common selection and admission criteria - Transparency and equitable treatment - Online validation by home & coordinator and evaluation by host - Minimum Requirements for Selection document: To be signed by the coordinator on behalf of the partnership - Minutes of the Selection Committee & Board (signed by all partners) To be sent with the 1st Progress Report (by 1/09/2014) SELECTION PROCESS

TG1 : Home Institution TG2 : Coordinating team TG3 : Coordinating team What ? First screened on a technical basis Eligibility check of the applicants (degree, nationality, etc.) Indicative score can be given by the Home How ? Online the project website / 3 steps : 1.Eligibility criteria of the EACEA 2.Evaluation criteria : Academic merit; Motivation; Language skills - indicative score out of 100 3. Results + comments

If student not validate online by the Home no evaluation by the host. Email sent by the academic coordinator to the different departments. What ? Evaluation and grading of each application on a standardized scale. 1 st choice mandatory – 2 nd one optional ? How ? Online the project website / 3 steps : 1.Reminder of the validation of the Home 2.Evaluation criteria : Academic merit; Motivation; Language skills - indicative score out of 100 - Comments 3. Results

11 With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union KOM Riga 27th-29th November 2013 SELECTION COMMITTEE Who ? One member by partner When ? Once a year – the number of the cohort will depend on the number of applications What ? Grant holder final selection regarding the Host evaluation and the mobility scheme. The mobility scheme defines our budget we have to respect it. How ? Transparency of the selection process & equitable treatment of application. In case of equal scores, priority will go to: 1. Gender balance 2. Disadvantaged groups in TG1 and 2 (disabled or economically disadvantaged) 3. Distribution over partners

12 With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union KOM Riga 27th-29th November 2013 INFORMATION TO APPLICANTS Who ? Coordinating institution – Online When ? 1 week after the selection committee. Student have 1 week to confirm their participation Which documents ? Acceptance letter : coordinator Financial certificate : coordinator Insurance certificate : coordinator Welcoming letter : HOST Once student accepted the grant, each Host university has to give the practical information for their venue. AT THE SAME TIME SELECTED CANDIDATE HAVE TO START AS EARLIER AS POSSIBLE VISA PROCESS.

14 With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union KOM Riga 27th-29th November 2013 UPON ARRIVAL Student/staff learning agreement - BEFORE ARRIVAL : - Signed and approved by : the student the Home and the Host HEI - necessary for academic recognition Student/staff agreement: - Signed by the host institution and the student/staff - Rights and obligations - Scholarship amount and modality of payment - Reference to the learning agreement and ToR Arrival notice - Signed by the student TEMPLATES WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE
