Communication with Teachers Communication with Teachers In-service, E-mails, Visits with Teachers Weekly grade reports to Position Coaches Weekly grade reports to Position Coaches Each week a report is sent that shows grades below an 80 for all of our Athletes Coaching Tutorials Coaching Tutorials There aren’t many days that you could come in our office whether it be during the season or during the offseason where you wouldn’t see are conference table full with athletes and Coaches helping them gain a better understanding with something that they are struggling with

Academic MVP board Academic MVP board We have this board placed right next to our State Semifinalist board leading into the Athletic hallway to recognize those student Athletes that reach this goal Accountability groups Accountability groups This offseason we created a competition where Athletes were rewarded for a number of things and penalized for those things such as having grades below an 80 Communicate with Athletes daily about the importance of making A’s and B’s Communicate with Athletes daily about the importance of making A’s and B’s There’s not a day that goes by where a Coach doesn’t talk to the team or their position groups about the importance of this goal

10. 1 st and foremost, Players need to realize how important that it is to us (and for their future) that we reach this goal The number one thing that our players can do is to take care of their business in the Classroom No Zeroes Make up any Tests or assignments in which they aren’t successful on (District policy) Take pride in being a winner in everything you do

11. THINGS THAT WE NEED PARENTS TO DO IN ORDER TO HELP OUR ATHLETES REACH THIS GOAL

Be aware of where you son stands in classes Skyward Great program which Parent’s and students can utilize to monitor progress Contact students counselor to obtain a password for Skyward and monitor grades Contact students teachers at the beginning of the year and let them know that there is an open line of communication. Contact your son’s teacher and find out if there is anything that they can do to reach this goal
