9 College Admissions Standardized Testing SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests Range of scores is 200 to 800 on each test, equals 2400 Areas tested – Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing Cost is Approx. $51 (depending on what you want), Subject Tests $24.50, $13 per additional test Register by deadline – best to register online at www.sat.collegeboard.org Send scores directly to colleges or institutions ($11.25 per score) MHM School Code is 430-893(AKA: CEEB Code)

10 ACT – American College Test Alternative standardized admissions test Accepted at most colleges in lieu of SAT and SAT Subject Tests Range of scores is 1 to 36 Areas tested include english, math, reading, and science. Writing is an option. Cost: $36.50, with Writing $52.50 Register online at www.actstudent.orgwww.actstudent.org First four score reports free! $12.00 fee to send scores after test to college

13 NCAA Clearinghouse National Collegiate Athletic Association Divisions I and II 14 Core courses required 2.0 Grade Point Average SAT Reasoning Test – 1010 www.ncaaclearinghou se.net 1.Register on-line by August of the senior year (Preferred) 2.Submit transcript request forms to the guidance office. 3.Send official SAT/ACT scores to NCAA directly from Collegeboard.

14 Basic Military Academy Requirements Academically good students Those capable of passing a rigorous physical exam Participation in athletics is a plus Leadership experience or potential is important Technical Colleges & Specific Trade Schools –1 and 2 year programs
