9. Using Windows Explorer To copy a file: Right click it and choose copy A copy was then invisibly placed on a section of memory called the clipboard

10. Using Windows Explorer Click on another folder of your choice on the left Move to the right hand side and right click Choose Paste and the file will be copied into the new folder

DO NOT OVERWRITE OR DELETE FILES UNLESS YOU KNOW THEY WIL DO NO HARM

13. Using Windows Explorer You can also use Explorer to see what is on shared folders on other computers Scroll down on the left hand side to until you see My Network Places and double click it

Using Windows Explorer Double click the computer and you will see any folders on that computer which are shared In this case I have three If I double click any of these I will see their contents and depending on how it was shared, I may be allowed to cut paste delete or otherwise modify I may also have been restricted to just reading the files without modifying them or I may be asked for a password to see what is in the folder.

18. DeepFreeze and Saving You will know when DeepFreeze is active on your machine because of a small icon in the lower right hand corner. If it has a X across it or a flashing X then it is not active

19. When DeepFreeze is active, every time it reboots, it will return your computer to the state it was when the administrator “froze” it in time. To install any new program you must first “thaw” the machine and you have to be the administrator to do this. Pressing the reset button will force a reboot and clear the machine. 20. A special part of the hard drive has been kept separate and will be untouched by DeepFreeze. It is designated as Drive letter T: Thawspace It is approximately 1GB when empty however it should not be used as a place to save file since it is accessible by everyone and is periodically erased by the administrator
