Does the writer include facts/statistics (2+) to support the cause (problem)? 4. Does the writer include facts/statistics (2 +) to support the effectiveness of the organization?

Underscore any introductory subordinate clauses. 4. HIGHLIGHT in GREEN three prepositional phrases. 5. Underscore the concluding sentence. Does it state the CLAIM?

Identify the pathos appeal in BLUE. 4. Identify the ethos appeal in GREEN. (Remember, you need 2 out of the 3) 5. Check to make sure that the writer explains how TWO out of the three appeals are illustrated in the visual. 6. Does this writer EXPLAIN HOW they illustrated this visual and WHY they illustrated the visual this way?

HIGHLIGHT three prepositional phrases in GREEN.. 4. Squiggly line the CALL to ACTION ; this is the concluding sentence and/ or TOPIC SENTENCE.

Does it have a PATHOS appeal? (emotional through pictures, personal stories) 4. Does it have an ETHOS appeal? (credibility of the organization and effectiveness) 5. Do they use creative and informative pictures, images and font etc?
