2 Patient Description Older people over 60’s who are terminally ill and have no cure for their illness. They usually have less than 6 months to live. Hospice care can be started as early as childhood.

3 Service provided at Hospice Care Palliative Care: supports medical and nursing care to keep the patient comfortable. Some other services provided are hospital equipment. They also offer psychological, spiritual, social and financial counseling and free or less expensive medication.

4 Cost For Hospice Care Hospice care in the hospital facility would be 95$ on average. Hospice care at the patients home would be 65$ on average.

5 Types of Employees Doctors, nurses, and certified physicians. Usually the medical professional knows that the patient has six months or less to live. The employees care the patient around the clock Volunteers often provide companionship and support for patient and family.

6 Misc. Info. Hospice care can be offered in hospitals, Medical Centers, special facilities, and most important at the house of the patient. Allows the terminally ill patient to die with dignity. Usually the medical professional creates a strong relationship with their patient.
