4 XE3 Mission To enhance the educational success of middle school students through innovative activities that focus on renewable and sustainable energy

5 XE3 Goals Increase community awareness of sustainable energy and green technology Increase career awareness & school success among middle school students Increase opportunities for students to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) activities Create opportunities for students to develop problem solving & team skills Strengthen community partnerships

6 XE3 Objectives Provide materials for 7 teams from St. Lucie County middle schools to build and race alternative energy go- karts Provide a venue for alternative energy exhibition vehicles including a race kart from Embry Riddle Provide a showcase for community partners to demonstrate sustainable energy products and services Rally volunteers to support XE3 through financial and in- kind donations

10 Event Sponsor Provide financial support or in-kind services in a variety of levels. Sponsors are encouraged to participate in the Exhibit Area on the day of the event. $5000 - Extreme $500 – Tidal $2500 – Biofuel $250 – Fuel Cell $1500 – Solar $100 – Creative $1000 – Wind

11 Associate/Business Membership Provide on-going financial & mentoring support for XE3 Florida, Inc. Organization $25 - Associate Member $50 – Business Member

12 Event Day Vendor Provide information or services from 10 AM to 3 PM on May14 th at the Treasure Coast Research Park in Ft. Pierce. Focus is on organizations that encourage sustainable energy, alternative fuels and environmental conservation Vendors supply their own tent, table, chairs & power & proof of liability insurance $50 Exhibit Fee for each 10 X 10 display area

13 Team Mentor Provide industry specific expertise to assist middle school educators and students with the designing and building of the alternative fuel go-karts Time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month from January to May

14 Event Day Volunteer XE3 needs volunteers who are willing to give time on Saturday, May 14 th to assist with the set-up, operation and clean-up of the XE3 Event. A variety of opportunities are available in a variety of timeframes. If you have 2 or more hours to give, we have the job for you!
