2. Why Make An ACP? Research shows that kids who write down their goals are more likely to achieve them. The VA Department of Education mandates that all 7 th grade students begin a personal Academic and Career Plan to be completed by eighth grade. Completing the ACP will help you: to understand the classes you will take in high school to understand the requirements for high school graduation make a career plan based on your academic and career interests.
