2 EU policy and European programmes ‘Soft law’: non-legally enforceable instruments Two main instruments for developing policy in Education: Policy instruments: Open Method of Coordination in Education and Training, Peer Learning Activities… Financial instruments: European programmes, Tools and networks from EU programmes… At the same time, outcomes from European projects also serve as input for EU policy development

2011 application round ECTS Label applications must provide evidence that excellence is achieved in two main areas: Information Package/Course Catalogue published on the applicant's website in English; 1.Student files with ECTS key documents for both incoming and outgoing students. ECTS Label

2011 application round Information Package/Course Catalogue Checklist published in the ECTS Users Guide and included in the application form All content must be published in English A course structure diagram must be included as part of the course catalogue and must show that the number of ECTS credits are correctly allocated to a full-time academic year, semester and trimester ECTS Label
