As the philanthropic arm of the AANA, the Foundation raises funds and invests in projects that directly support the AANA Foundation and AANA priorities. Since 1981, the Foundation has awarded more than $3.43 million to more than 2,900 individuals 972 scholarships totaling more than $1,473,000 178 fellowships totaling $1,163,640 to assist CRNA students pursuing their PhD and DNP degrees 184 research grants to CRNAs totaling more than $695,000 43 student research grants totaling $42,000 1,620 poster presentations at AANA annual meetings totaling more than $108,000 Advancing the science of anesthesia through education and research

4. In FY15, the AANA Foundation: Supported more than 175 CRNAs and students. Educated more than 100 CRNAs and students at Foundation-supported workshops. Implemented a Post-Doctoral Health Services Research Fellowship Program and awarded $280,000 over three years to projects at Vanderbilt and Duke Universities.
