2. “My name is Lee Locke and my career is being a Courier for Cross Town Deliveries. ”

3. Question #1  What do you enjoy about your career?  “What I enjoy the most about my career is driving around and meeting new people.”

4. Question #2  How long have you been in this field of work?  “I have been in this field of work since 2000, so almost 15 years.”

5. Question #3  What is a typical work day for you?  “A typical work day for me can be between 9 to 12 hours. I deliver packages to different companies.”

6. Question #4  Do you consider your work dangerous? Why or why not.  “Yes because I am driving on the roads/highways all day in the busy hours, trying to deliver things on time. I've been involved in 3 accidents.”

7. Question #5  What are your personal responsibilities?  “My personal responsibilities are to deliver things on time to each company and also to be careful on the roads.”

8. Question #6  Are you of high authority at your work?  “Yes I am, I have been in the position I take care of the longest of everyone else I work with.”

9. Question #7  What is your biggest career accomplishment?  “My biggest accomplishment would have to be how I know the streets of almost all the Avalon Peninsula, and how I am the longest in this field of work for my position.”

10. Question #8  What skills and experiences do you need to pursue this career?  “Skills you would require would be having your class 6 license. Experiences you would need would be to have patience in traffic yet try and stay on schedule.”

11. Question #9  What are your greatest strengths at this job?  “My greatest strengths would be meeting new people and getting along with them. I do my work and enjoy doing it.”

12. Question #10  Do you consider yourself successful?  “Even though it may not sound like a successful job, I enjoy what I do and have worked my way into some good money.”

13. Question #11  What parts of your job do you find most challenging?  “The part that I find most challenging is keeping people happy. No matter what, there's usually someone who has something to complain about.”

14. Question #12  Is this what you wanted to do as a child?  “Defiantly not, as a child I wanted to become a hockey player but what are the chances of that. I also went to school for computer science but that obviously didn't work out.”

15. Question #13  Is there any negatives to your job?  “Yes, most of all driving in bad weather and having to wake up early every morning including some weekends, for 7am.”

16. Question #14  Do you work well with others at your workplace?  “Yes I do. Some of my best buddies today I have met in this field of work and we all get along well and enjoy what we do.”

17. Question #15  How busy are you weekly?  “Usually it depends, some weeks are slow and some weeks are fast. The majority of time things are fast I could work up to over 50 hours a week.”

18. Question #16  What does someone in your profession usually make a year?  “This tends to vary depending on experience and skill level, but in my case where I have been doing this quite long my wage is up to $60,000 to $65,000 per year.”

19. Question #17  Is this any physical testing/ safety courses required for your job?  “No for my field there is not, but for people who operate forklifts in my field require safety courses to prevent injuries and keep the workplace safe.”

20. Question #18  Does your job require a certain type of transportation?  “Yes my job requires me to drive a white courier van with proper company stickers and logos. Seeing how I drive this van everyday all day, my gas fees are covered.”

21. Question #19  Does your job benefit other people?  “Yes my job does for sure benefit other people, it makes things easier on companies and people. Having the things delivered and not going out of the way at their job to pick it up, really preserves time.”

22. Question #20  Does your job require traveling?  “Yes my job does require travel, most times in around town but sometimes I have to travel over the T.C.H. On average I put around 40,000 to 45,000 km on the van a year.”
