5 Examples Work on skills acquisition with NEETS – labour market supply, decreased benefit dependency, increased local revenue and spend Early targeted interventions with groups susceptible to development of chronic health conditions (chronic heart disease, respiratory, diabetes etc) -Getting upstream on costs of care, decreased benefit dependency 4

6 Examples Tackling disproportionate involvement of young people from specific communities in anti-social behaviour -Reduction in fear of crime reduces isolation, increases perceived safety and usage of public space including town and village centres, boosts night time economy etc 5

11 3.Focus Each thematic partnership reviews NTG dimension of indicators within total set of 198 which relate to their activity Priorities drawn from 33 indicators for safer and stronger, children and young people, healthier communities and older people, environment and economy Identification of shared priorities Reflected in action plan for indicator delivery Reflected in associated strategies 10

12 4.Resources for Delivery Base, Area Based Grant, other external funding streams, income/additional revenue Policy, Equality, Cohesion, Community Engagement, VCS, specific responsibilities and contributions Equality Frameworks (eg Equality Standard for Local Government) and Comprehensive Area Assessment Embedded within all workloads. 11
